Loren...I received the copy from Drew Papsun and did not make any changes to it, other than making it clearer and easier to read. The pages he sent were very dark and yellowed. Your copy must be a later version and I'll be happy to update the posted version if you are willing to send me a later copy.

Thanks for your efforts Vinnie. I appreciate it a lot. Mine isn't on the list, but if anyone tries to update and reprint I will certainly be happy to provide my info. Actually, it might be easier to do an original owner list and I can input on that one as well, Ha!

For you two guys up in the thread batting around the ways to modify a locked document,

I'll add to that the guy I recently saw in the process of taking 6 66 67's and growing each 100 cubes - 45 years later. I can't wait for the stampede when they hit the fleebay

would opine there are many cars not listed (as holes in survey indicate) either because owners did NOT know about the survery or did NOT respond when Larry Brooks requested the information - wonder exactly how the survey was distributed / information asked for? do any of the "old timers" like Gary Mortimer, Mike McCagh, Dennis Clark, Howard Baker remember how this all happened?????

Simple, if you contributed you got a copy - once there was enough there to warrant a copy.

                            Loren,

Okay, get it you got a copy if you contributed, but how did one know to contribute? Was there an announcement in THE RESTORER? Did Larry release a copy at point X and then ask for more input?

You are one of the "old-timers" so tell us how it all worked?

Hi Rick I think I started the ball rolling on this. Some of the surveys started out in the corvette mags. some adds in Hemmings some word of mouth some at the NCRS and car shows guys taken notes. I never heard of Larrys survey before last week. I found out from one of the 63 guys I have been hounding about the knock off wheels. I remember when Bill Mock had his 67 survey back in early 80's (that no one I know of has seen yet) that I sent some of my cars info to him. The only prolbem with Larrys is, that we dont know when, where and who supplied the info. Bob Jones has notes on all his cars on his survey and thats why he removes cars when he gets more info about them. Nolands books and NCRS manuals are full of info from surveys and GM records and there are numerous mistakes in them. I have my own survey on 63 foot wells (tool wells, power window wells, what ever you want to call them) and was starting one on 67 parking brake handle "chrome" but turn out that both with and without turn up thru out the whole production. Phil's explanation is as good as any - it's not like it was done under a Federal Education grant and monthly records were kept? What are you looking for? Quarterly reports? Not going to be there. And as each of such "surveys" will represent, there were errors and typos and the source of those horrors was not taken out and shot.
