Harry, you don't believe Delco knew when their first shipment of AM-FMs was made? My #10706 L84 that I purchased in 1972 came with a Wonderbar and WB top shielding. Armand Filer's 13XXX car came to Iowa with an AM-FM and the line on the window sticker indicating U65 lined through.

Loren, I think the installation of AM/FM radios had to do with the money. I agree that GM knew when they were in St. Louis on the floor ready to install. But, they needed to deplete the AM radio stock. All I was suggesting was, since the Z06 was the top of the line Corvette, it did not matter what the order was, it got an AM/FM Radio. There is enough of a paper trail, that I have seen, that this is what happened. I was on this 94XX car link stink and it was born with an AM/FM.

Gary, you have a February notice that corresponds with the bulletin about the radio, but has ABSOLUTELY NO correspondence with the fact that St Louis had to go to double shifts and could not promise delivery within 3 months. It's a piece of paper that enabled Delco to say "Yessir, we put out the notice.".

Harry, inasmuch as ZO6s were primarily being built/sold as SCCA race cars, it's pretty dammed hard to imagine that they were given a PREFERENCE on radios. Hell, it's pretty dammed hard to imagine AM-FMs being a preference - check the listing for FM stations that came with the radio - poor, isolated North Dakota did NOT have one.
