He did grow up in Seattle, but once he became a rock star, I think he lived most of the rest of his short life "on the road" so to speak.

The band only released three studio albums, but in recent years, CDs have been released that contain a number of demo tapes and studio sessions, which are interesting if you're a Hendrix fan.

Found this--- Jimi had rented a house in Benedict Canyon and was almost killed when he hit a boulder before going off the side of the road in one of his many Corvettes. It is mentioned he had four 68 and 69 Corvettes and went through them like he did with guitars.

I think PBS is airing a documentary of him at Woodstock this month. At least my local channel is. I watched part of it last night.

Found he rented a house at 2850 Benedict Canyon Drive in Beverly Hills in 1968, maybe someone in CA can find something in an old newspaper archive.
