This is a GM #3820342. However, this bolt was phosphate-finished, not zinc or cad.

                      Gary,

FYI - Nut 9422298 in the 1970 & up Standard Parts Fasteners is listed as 3/8 - 24 Zinc.

                          Gary,

Thanks. For whatever reason AMK only offers a cad with wax finish for the Gr. 5 version (9422278) of that locking nut. In this and age I would have thought they would choose zinc. Maybe the original version of 9422278 was finished in cad.

I just remembered I had these from a '67 I restored. Notice the nut for the 181365 bolt has 6 dots on it's periphery. At the time I considered this the original nut, along with the upper 181365 bolt and long 3820342 carriage bolt.

I believe the lower bolt attach hardware I show should have been the same locknut as on the top bolt and not the lock washer and plain nut though. At the time my '67 AIM was missing UPC 9 Sheet A2. The 1966 AIM UPC 9 Sheet A2 lower nut is not noted with the part# so it likely assumed the use of the same nut there also.
