    Hard question to ask yourself

Of all the Corvettes ever made 53 to 009 what is your favorite "year" and (forget what engine or options) just the ONE year that made you dream of having one or if you could have ONLY one Corvette right now.

    '57, but I am biased.

My first ride, 1960 in a 1960 Roman Red/Red, 2 top, white soft top, 3 speed, 230 HP, white walls, radio. My barber, Dave hammon, took me half way to school one Winter morning. I stillhave no idea what went on in school that day---I was daydreaming.

'57 for me although back in the late 60's when I had my first 57, I would have loved to have had a C-2 but couldn't afford one. Now that I can afford either, I went back to the '57.

63 - but then I am biased too. I was always a hot rodder so I liked the triple five Chevy's best. Then I went into the Army and I was about to order a 63 Biscayne with the 409, but a Buddy who was a Corvette nut convinced me to look at the new Vettes. I was impressed with the styling and sophistication of the IRS, as well as the new coupe (SWC). Cost swayed me to a non F.I. Convertible. It was the first one I ever owned (still do), and the first one I ever really liked. I had worked on a lot of C-1's before, but thought them too cramped and hard to work on and not enough "bang for the buck" compared to the passenger cars.

Next in line would be all the other C-2's - don't like the C-3's, 4's or 5's, but I have some interest in the new C-6's.

Roy, for me it's a 67 BB, and a FI 63 Coupe a close second!

Silver green 82 (perhaps it was the girl driving it), otherwise it was a red/white 57 fuelie.

Honduras Maroon 62 300HP that my friend got new when we were in HS. MANY memories. It went the way of all flesh in 65 when he rolled it one icy night.

1983 Mid Block. That car is one of thee most collectable and you pretty much never see them on the street, in shows or even up for BJ auctions.

The mint green was my favorite color with the mauve interior.

A close second would be the '67 BB L88 or L89
