Re: Hard question to ask yourself

C2's have always been my favorite. Then I had the opportunity to buy a 67 vert barn find last year & then discovered that it was a BB car in its first life. Always loved the stinger hood (that I don't have yet).
My vote is for the 67. Thanks for posting the question Roy.

For me, my first new Corvette, a 67 BB conv. Marina Blue, bright blue interior, black hood scope and black vinyl hard top. No soft top. Wide ratio, PS, radio, 390 HP and tinted windshield. $3950.00 at Groosebeck Chevrolet. I drove it for a year and hit a home run by selling it for $4250.00, Ouch. Dale PS I still have the window sticker.

After two years of planting seeds in Buttercup's mind, she came to me and said, "You can have a Corvette when you can pay cash." So I did...

A year after that, she finally came around to announcing her favorite Vette of all time, Gerard. One just like yours.

Pretty! Really like the color combo, especially with the silver coves.

Just to avoid anyone's getting the wrong impression, the car belongs to someone else.

It's just that "She Who Must Be Obeyed" likes the black/silver cove roadsters best of all.

For me, its the one I own. And when I sell this one and buy another, then that one will be my favorite.

I would have to say its the Grand Sport for me. I would love to build one someday. I saw this replica at the Hilton Head Island Concours this past weekend. I believe it was a D&D body/chassis. Too bad they are no longer around.

                  Thanks,

It's gotta be the 1983 Corvette...the rarest of the rare!

It's a 57 for me. Just something about the lines. I still love my first love, the 64 fuelie sitting in my shop. I had the car in high school and the memories are still great! Every time I see American Graffitti I have to cruise around the block. I once had a 78, dark blue with white leather, L82 and gymkana suspension. It was wonderful on long trips over the back roads, and even though it was a lemon, I still miss it.

Gotta say 1962, although my first drive was a '58 at age 18. It was owned by a dentist and he wanted $2400 for it. See my old '62 in the avitar on Sanibel Island causeway a few years ago. Thanks Ray for the question.
